We are a leading manufacturer of ice cream bases and yogurt preps, working closely with our customers to create unique flavor elements. Our Research and Development is done in-house, allowing us to witness the whole process from ideation to creation.
As an LME Technician at Ever Fresh Fruit Co, you will be responsible for monitoring, repairing and maintaining the plant's production and electrical equipment. This includes performing preventative, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance tasks on assigned equipment, setting up and testing equipment for startup and inspecting, lubricating and making necessary repairs to equipment.
You will work collaboratively with the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule and develop routine and preventative maintenance schedules. Additionally, you will train new hires, evaluate their progress and document their abilities to ensure they can perform maintenance functions unsupervised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and maintain processing equipment both mechanical and electrical
- Assist team leaders and machine operators in efficient line start up and equipment adjustments
- Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed
- Maintain documentation related to maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- 5 years or greater of general industrial maintenance experience
- In-depth knowledge of the electrical industry
- Familiar with motor control circuits, Sensors, VFD's, PLC's, light fixture ballast replacement
- MIG / TIG welding and fabrication of stainless preferred but not required
- Forklift experience preferred but will train onsite
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and components including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, gear boxes and other moving parts
- Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)
- Self-starter, ability to work alone
- Availability and willingness to work flexible job hours as needed
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to hazards in the workplace such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts and electrical current
- Must be able to work in an environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.)
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts
