Job Summary
We are growing and our new location in Trenton Maine is now open. We need to add 2 more full time Positions for hearth sales professional. Successful candidates will receive industry training to help our customers find the correct wood, gas or pellet stove that meets their supplemental heating needs. On the Job training will be available for candidates with sales experience. Applicants currently working in or with previous Hearth sales experience will be considered for a higher starting wage than what is noted in this posting. Applicants with experience in the residential building / design field or hardware retail experience can learn our business quickly and achieve industry certifications which will result in increased pay at a fast pace. Primary location for this position will be our new Trenton store however candidates will need to be flexible to travel between 3 locations when needed as well as travel to customers homes for in home consultations. Company car provided for travel to customers homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to potential buyers. -- Provide product and safety education .
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Maintain stock levels by organizing merchandise on the sales floor and replenishing inventory as needed.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and product availability.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Hearth sales or Residential Building construction preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic retail math is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays as needed. No work on Sunday.
- A proactive attitude towards learning about products and improving sales techniques.
