Group Description: The Asia Cross-Border Advisory Group at Evercore focuses on advising corporate and private equity clients on strategic cross-border transactions with respect to Asian markets, particularly China, South Korea and India. The group is based in New York, Hong Kong and Beijing, and actively works with various offices globally. The group’s core sector focus includes Consumer, Healthcare, TMT and Industrials. The group is also increasingly leading new strategic business and client coverage initiatives in select emerging verticals, in coordination with relevant senior bankers and industry groups. The group works with Evercore’s alliance partners in South Korea and India, as well as its affiliate advisory firm in Australia. Lastly, the group also plays a leading role in the firm’s coverage of Asian private equity clients, particularly in the Chinese market.
What is the position? Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst or junior Associate for its Asia Cross-Border Advisory group in New York, NY.
Primary Responsibilities: Evercore Analysts and junior Associates are highly motivated individuals with a broad range of experience in strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions. Analysts and junior Associates must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn and work hard. Evercore offers highly qualified analysts the chance to advance more rapidly and take on more responsibility than in traditional bulge-bracket firms, exposure to blue-chip clients, and the chance to be part of a rapidly growing, highly regarded firm.
Analysts and junior Associateswill work on a variety of assignments including: acquisition advisory, capital raising, recapitalizations, divestitures, partnerships and joint ventures. As part of the team assigned to these projects, individuals will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: preparing for and attending client meetings, financial modeling, resolving complex accounting issues, industry analysis, due diligence and new client development. Analysts and junior Associates typically work as part of small teams and have close contact with senior client contacts as well as partners within the firm.
Specific Qualifications:
- Must be bilingual with fluency in English and Chinese-Mandarin (read, write, speak)
- 1-4 years of Investment Banking experience
- Graduate of a top tier university
- Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
- Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral
- Strong work ethic and stamina
- Enthusiastic and achievement-oriented character

Expected Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $200,000

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
