What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Everence?
POSITION SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for all accounting-related functions for the Everence Foundation, including oversight of applicable financial reporting, external audits, and various system accounting processes. Also responsible for assisting with transaction processing for Everence Asset Management clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks for Everence Foundation, including quarterly financial statements and annual audited financials.
- Prepare annual budget reporting for the Everence Foundation lines of business.
- Prepare semi-annual and annual reporting for Pennsylvania Mennonite Scholarship Organization (PAMSO/EPASO) to the PAMSO/EPASO boards and to the state of Pennsylvania, a client of Everence Foundation.
- Provide support for daily trade, income settlement, and position reconciliation of mutual funds as well as other InnoTrust processes (cash reconciliation, sweep, end-of-day balancing, reversals).
- Review fee calculations for InnoTrust client accounts.
- Provide other accounting services as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Business or equivalent experience
Experience:
At least two years of accounting or business experience required
Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are required
- Knowledge of computer accounting systems, query and spreadsheet tools required
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Access preferred
- The ability to communicate effectively and work as a team with minimal supervision
