Position Summary
Everence Federal Credit Union (EFCU) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Credit Union Support Intern. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in back-office processing, administration support, and branch operations within a dynamic financial institution. Projects and duties will be tailored to the skills and interests of the intern but most likely include:
Responsibilities:
- Back Office Processing: Assist with various back-office tasks, including but not limited to data entry, transaction processing, account reconciliations, and document management. Learn and adhere to established procedures to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
- Administration Support: Collaborate with the administration team on special projects, including research, data analysis, and report generation. Provide administrative assistance such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining files.
- Branch Support: Gain exposure to branch operations by shadowing frontline staff, assisting with member inquiries, and participating in branch activities as needed. Learn about the products and services offered by EFCU to better assist members.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Respond to inquiries promptly, professionally, and accurately, ensuring a positive experience for all members and colleagues.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members across various departments to support the overall goals and objectives of EFCU. Contribute ideas, insights, and solutions to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to finance, business administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Interest in the financial services industry and a commitment to upholding ethical standards
