POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources (HR) Officer, responsible for providing leadership in talent management, employee engagement, benefits administration, and compliance. Plays a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive work culture while driving initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Collaborate with the Chief HR Officer to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and enhance workplace culture.
- Oversee talent acquisition, recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure a high-performing workforce.
- Contribute to the team’s joint efforts in employee engagement initiatives, including performance management, recognition programs, retention strategies, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support operational efficiency and legal compliance.
- Chair corporate Wellness Committee including overseeing staff events, resources, communications, budget expenditures, and maintaining the corporate Wellness Center.
- Partner with leadership to drive workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
- Utilize HR analytics and metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration and manage legacy retirement benefits.
- Oversee orientation and onboarding of new employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Good computer skills
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with HR technology and systems (preferably ADP)
