Position Description:
As a Program Planner/IMS Lead, your primary responsibility will be to create and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) that meet customer, quality, and contract requirements. This role will require you to gather individual program steps, durations, dependencies, and other details from appropriate stakeholders, assembling them into cohesive IMS to map development programs from contract award to production handoff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interpret contract requirements to create an executable IMS.
- Provide recommendations to Technical Program Managers to ensure accurate statforecasting of work.
- Analyze program critical paths and facilitate root cause assessments.
- Recommend actions based on program metrics, trends, and variances.
- Evaluate schedules for IMS quality (DCMA requirements) and suggest process improvements.
- Lead program IMS reviews and meetings.
- Support risk and opportunity analysis related to the IMS.
- Communicate schedule dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans to internal and external customers.
- Develop master phasing schedules for executive review.
- Support proposal planning and development, along with ad hoc analysis and what-if scenario planning.
- Manage SDRLs across contracts to ensure deliverable dates are met.
- Establish and manage Risk and Opportunities plans.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program planning or management.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project and experience developing integrated, resource-loaded master schedules.
- Demonstrated proficiency in schedule analysis and IMS quality (DCMA IMS requirements).
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Strong creative problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Organized and self-motivated with excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting program deadlines.
Typically, no travel requirements for this position (2%).
