But the most critical asset in this organization is our people.  About the Role: The Actuarial Department of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. has a AVP Pricing Actuary role in its growing Commercial Property business. If you are passionate about pushing the frontier of Commercial Property pricing with the latest developments across multiple hot disciplines (including climate science, data science, insurtech), this is the job for you. The ideal candidate will be a skilled actuary with extensive experience in property insurance pricing, leadership, and a deep understanding of both traditional and advanced pricing methodologies. You will work closely with other business leaders, underwriters, and risk managers to ensure that pricing strategies align with overall business objectives and market conditions. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Develop the next generation pricing plan for a spectrum of Everest Insurance Commercial Property offerings, based on geography (e.g. US, Canada, Europe, Asia) and buyer’s behavior (e.g. large account, middle market) Provide analytical solutions and insights to internal partners (e.g. Underwriting) for optimal pricing and underwriting outcomes Lead the review and analysis of rate change and profitability Improve speed to market and efficiency of our pricing and analytical solutions through strong partnership with internal and external technology providers (e.g. insurtech) Support the annual reinsurance purchase and planning processes Manage a team of two to three actuaries and analysts Collaborate with colleagues across functions (e.g. Reinsurance Pricing, Cat Modeling, Reserving) to promote shared knowledge Advise on key pricing and portfolio management decisions, and influence business strategy based on data-driven insights. Provide other actuarial support as needed Desired Skills, Qualifications, Education & Experience: ACAS or FCAS with 10 years of actuarial pricing and management experience, with a focus on Commercial Property pricing and product management Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline preferred, including but not limited to Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science. Strong proficiency in actuarial pricing tools and software, data analytics, and modeling techniques. Advanced knowledge of catastrophe risk modeling and pricing (e.g., RMS, AIR, or similar platforms). Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable business decisions. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficient at working with large datasets and database software (e.g. SQL) Familiarity with R and/or Python to develop advanced statistical models a plus What if I don't meet every requirement? The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
