Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong background in managing and deploying applications using Anthos, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and the Google Cloud ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise with a range of tools including Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Harness, Jenkins, Nexus Repository, and SonarQube, and will have a deep understanding of infrastructure automation and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Anthos Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) stack to manage, scale, and deploy containerized applications in the cloud.
- Leverage the Google Apps ecosystem to optimize cloud infrastructure and application delivery.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for apps and APIs, using tools such as Jenkins, Nexus Repository, and SonarQube.
- Provide hands-on experience with Kubernetes, IaaS via Terraform/Ansible, and automation to streamline deployment and management processes.
- Lead the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions, ensuring best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely, effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, driving project delivery and ensuring high-quality standards.
- Implement Cloud Governance practices focusing on cost management, compute optimization, security, and compliance using relevant tools.
- Understand and apply Cloud Networking and Cloud IAM (Identity and Access Management) concepts to enhance cloud infrastructure management.
- Champion the principles of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and apply automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Groovy, and Bash to manage cloud resources.
- Stay current with the latest developments in DevOps, cloud technologies, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience working with Anthos Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) stack and Google Apps ecosystem.
- Expertise in Github and Harness Platform for managing deployments and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation and management, particularly with Jenkins, Nexus Repository, and SonarQube.
- In-depth experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Groovy, and Bash for infrastructure automation and management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for resolving complex technical issues.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering teams, guiding them towards successful project completion.
- Knowledge of Cloud Governance practices, including cost management, compute resources, security, and associated tools.
- Familiarity with Cloud Networking and Cloud IAM concepts.
- A proactive learner with a continual drive to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in DevOps and cloud technologies.
