Job Summary
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet vehicles. This position involves overseeing maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in vehicle maintenance and diagnostics, along with excellent customer service abilities to effectively communicate with drivers and management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing misc. daily tasks around the shop each day including scrapping old ACs, furnaces and water heaters, pulling 12ft hydraulic dump trailer to dump and recycling center, maintaining building cleanliness, picking up deliveries, oil changes, and completing random tasks as needed by the owner.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks associated with vehicle repairs and shop maintenance.
- Effectively communicate with external vendors when receiving parts and supplies.
Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, drivers and vendors.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting as part of the job duties.
- A valid driver's license is required
- Must be comfortable pulling and backing up trailers up to 14ft long
- Experience with heavy equipment is a plus but not required.
