Everest Insurance, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd., has an opportunity available for an experienced claims professional to join our Fast Track Direct Handle team. This individual will manage a team of claim professionals handling Auto and General Liability claims.
Essential Job Functions and Scope (includes but is not limited to):
Managing a team of adjusters.
Investigation, analysis and evaluation of liability and damages.
Managing the incoming claims assuring they are assigned to the appropriate adjuster.
Timely and appropriate setting of case reserves.
Development and execution of claim strategies as well as resolution strategies.
Negotiation and resolution of cases.
Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new hires to the team.
Working with underwriters supporting policy construction and drafting, reporting claim trends, data analysis, and risk assessments.
Extensive communication with insureds, brokers, reinsurers, actuaries, and business unit contacts.
Attending client meetings and industry functions to support retention and development of client relationships and business.
In addition to the Essential Functions, also performs similar work-related duties as assigned.
Reviewing and analyzing coverage issues and preparation of coverage position letters.
Preparation of case summary reports related to matters of significant reserve and trial activity.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Management experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation and investigation skills.
Ability to think strategically.
Comprehensive knowledge of the litigation, arbitration, and trial process.
Currently holds or readily can obtain all required adjuster licenses
Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment is a plus.
Ability to identify and use relevant data and metrics to best manage claims.
Collaborative mind-set and willingness to work with people outside immediate reporting hierarchy to improve processes and generate optimal departmental efficiency.
Ability to present pre-mediation and pre-trial cases to senior management.
Salary : $88,000 - $132,000
