Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Monitor medication policies for compliance with state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Review and approve requests for take-home medication and treatment exceptions.
- Supervise Physicians Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
- Review patient records upon admission and annually to determine appropriate level of care and continued treatment benefit.
- Prescribe, review, and sign medication orders.
- Review, approve, and sign patient treatment plans.
- Consult with Clinical and Nursing staff on medical issues.
