Job Description: The ideal Self-Storage Team Member is an energetic, outgoing self-starter who enjoys working both independently and with people in a customer service role. This position is responsible for light maintenance duties as well as back-up support for the front office. This position requires working weekends.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Repairs that do not require special expertise including, light painting, light bulb replacement, keeping the facility free of debris and trash.
- Maintain cleanliness of facility, keep surfaces, and high-touch areas clean, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping windows.
- General office duties, including opening and closing the office on time each day.
- Candidate must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Conduct daily storage unit inspections; confirm inventory availability and ensure spaces are clean and ready to rent.
- Assess customer storage needs and guide customer through rental process.
- Assist Manager in providing excellent customer service and customer service phone support.
Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service and maintenance or handyman environments including hotel/hospitality, retail, restaurant, customer service/sales-based companies, such as car rental, or apartment rental backgrounds.

Qualifications:
Prior janitorial or handyman experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
Computer and phone skills
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
