For NY Only: The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.

The Primary Casualty Group of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our New York office.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Utilizing authority to underwrite and price loss sensitive casualty (deductibles, SIRs, retros) and Guaranteed Cost business for the following lines of coverage: Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Commercial Auto Liability, while adhering to divisional underwriting guidelines.
- Establishing and maintain broker relationships in the Northeast region with a concentration on primary casualty business
- Development and execution of business strategy necessary to drive submission flow and binding of profitable business.
- Working collaboratively with home office, marketing and distribution, actuary, claims, loss control, premium audit, and legal in an effort to develop and maintain a profitable portfolio of primary casualty insurance placements.
- College degree preferred, with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience underwriting Primary Casualty loss sensitive insurance
- CPCU, CRIS, ARM or other insurance certifications are a plus
- Should have experience and/or expertise in working with a broad array of program structures – guaranteed cost to large deductibles to captives
- Existing relationships with Northeast brokers handling primary casualty business
- Possess strong presentation, communication, and business development skills
- Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills
- Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment
- Customer-oriented approach (Specify qualities and attributes needed to perform the job, i.e., leadership, influencing, problem solving, creativity, communication skills, analytical skills, networking, multitasking, etc.
