The ideal candidate will possess a background in underwriting and be committed to delivering outstanding service and underwriting results.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Underwrite and price Lead Umbrella and Excess Casualty policies for US based risks.
- Develop a sound understanding of the underwriting strategy for areas of responsibility.
- Cultivate strong relationships with brokers, clients, and key industry stakeholders.
- Develop the skills required to manage a portfolio of new and renewal business.
- Collaboratively work with our internal Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering, Regional Leadership and Sales & Distribution teams to effectively meet quality servicing standards and to achieve underwriting goals.
- Adhere to portfolio management goals, company guidelines, and objectives to ensure underwriting discipline and book profitability.
- Assist with comprehensive assessments of accounts and ensure timely and accurate file documentation.
- Assist in growing the excess portfolio with preferred casualty business.
- Participating in relevant industry events and conferences.
- Business travel as required to support the above objectives, and the appropriate management of expenses.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Preferred 2-5 years of casualty insurance industry experience, with wholesale excess casualty underwriting experience preferred.
- Strong analytical as well as communication and presentation skills.
- Self-Starter/Entrepreneurial Spirit

- Microsoft office proficient
