DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Conduct
- Oversee the student conduct program and serve as the College's primary Student Conduct Officer.
- Investigate and adjudicate student misconduct, determine sanctions, and communicate outcomes in accordance with the Student Conduct Code.
- Facilitate informal resolution processes to address student conflicts when appropriate.
- Coordinate and provide training for conduct review officers, student conduct committees, and other departments.
- Represent the College in hearings and appeals related to student conduct.
- Maintain the student conduct website and online resources to ensure accessibility and transparency.
- Conduct outreach and training to promote understanding of the Student Conduct Code and reporting processes.
Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) Leadership
- Co-chair the Behavioral Intervention Team with the Director of Counseling & Student Success.
- Provide leadership and accountability for BIT operations, including case management and team coordination.
- Monitor and track cases, ensure compliance with recommendations, and address new concerns as they arise.
- Coordinate resources and provide training for BIT members based on best practices.
- Respond to emerging situations to support the safety and well-being of the College community.
- Maintain the incident reporting website and BIT resources.
Compliance
- Serve as a Title IX investigator, conducting investigations related to gender discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct.
- Revise and align policies and procedures, including the Student Conduct Code, to ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement hazing prevention initiatives in compliance with HB 1751 (Sam's Law).
- Serve as the College liaison with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Registered Sex Offender Unit and manage the notification process.
- Administer and maintain records in compliance with FERPA and records retention policies.
- Oversee the Maxient database as a co-lead administrator and provide user training.
General Duties
- Collaborate with departments and community stakeholders to support students and uphold campus policies.
- Support large-scale events and activities as part of the Student Development Division.
- Participate in campus, state, and regional meetings and initiatives as a representative of the College.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and meet campus needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in student affairs in higher education.
- Two (2) years of experience as a student conduct officer or in a similar conduct role.
- Two (2) years of experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies, or procedures in higher education, including FERPA and Clery Act.
- Experience in crisis management, behavioral intervention, or similar responsibilities.
Required Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong oral, written, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage conflict and facilitate difficult conversations.
- Ability to demonstrate timely follow through on deadlines and deliverables; detail-oriented; highly organized; commitment to achievement of agreed-upon targets.
- Demonstrated project management and time-management skills including dealing with multiple and competing deadlines, ability to prioritize, work under pressure, complete tasks on time, and be responsive to requests.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment and possess strong team building and conflict resolution skills; Ability to establish and maintain positive collaborative working relationships.
- Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
- Ability to use computers for data entry, web applications, searching the internet, and troubleshooting basic issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience managing case management systems such as Maxient.
