Overview
The position is responsible for leading student outreach communications that support enrollment efforts through the College's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This includes developing targeted campaigns, maintaining CRM infrastructure, and coordinating training and support for staff users. The role ensures prospective and current students receive timely, accurate, and engaging information that helps them navigate the enrollment process and connect with the College.
Duties & Responsibilities
Outreach Communications
- Develop and implement strategic email and text messaging campaigns to support enrollment goals, ensuring messages are timely, targeted, and aligned with student communication policies.
- Design and manage the student communication calendar, coordinating outreach with key enrollment milestones.
- Create and maintain content for communication channels, including email, text, and website.
- Manage the College's two-way texting operations, including campaign planning, response coordination, and staff oversight.
- Conduct research into communication strategies, enrollment trends, and emerging technologies to inform and enhance outreach efforts.
- Maintain and enhance the College's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support automated, personalized student communications.
- Monitor and manage user roles, access, and permissions in alignment with data governance guidelines.
- Configure system logic and workflows to support communication processes.
- Oversee data imports and maintain data integrity across lead sources and forms.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot system issues, maintain infrastructure, and resolve technical problems.
- Track and assess performance through reports and data visualizations to inform future communication strategies.
- Coordinate user onboarding, system updates, and change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes.
- Provide training and support for CRM and texting tools, including creating training materials and responding to system-related questions.
- Create and maintain student-facing content for emails, texts, landing pages, event forms, and requests for information.
- Ensure messaging is timely, relevant, and consistent across all channels.
- Apply communication best practices to support deliverability, clarity, and engagement.
- Support cross-departmental training and communication when implementing new messaging tools or strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the College to ensure outreach efforts are coordinated, student-centered, and aligned with broader campus initiatives.
- Support departmental, divisional, and institutional goals by contributing to effective communication strategies that enhance student engagement and enrollment.
- Maintain awareness of institutional priorities, policies, and procedures to ensure communication efforts reflect and support the College's mission.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism (or equivalent experience).
- Three (3) years of professional marketing and communication experience.
- One (1) year of professional writing experience
- Demonstrated ability to use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to achieve marketing goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to handle many projects at once in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use data and analyze audience behavior to create communications and marketing materials to meet specific goals
- Ability to create effective communication for populations with different backgrounds, experiences, and abilities
- Familiar with Element 451, Fireworks CRM, Signal Vine, Naviance Intersect, or similar systems
- Experience writing queries to support marketing campaign evaluation
