Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Individual Coaching: Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to guests, focusing on personal development, goal setting, and overcoming barriers.
• Spiritual Guidance: Offer spiritual support and guidance in helping guests strengthen their faith and purpose.
• Transformation Plan Development: Design and implement life transformation plans that address life skills, emotional well-being, and spiritual growth.
• Resource Navigation: Use creativity, curiosity, and persistence to assist guests in utilizing community resources, such as job training, education, healthcare, and housing services.
• Progress Monitoring: Track and document guests' progress, adjusting coaching strategies as needed to ensure effective support.
• Group Facilitation: Lead group sessions and support groups that foster a sense of community and mutual encouragement among guests.
• Collaboration: Work closely with shelter staff, volunteers, and external partners to provide comprehensive support to guests.
• Faith Commitment: A commitment to the teachings of Christ with a demonstrated ability to integrate those teachings into daily work and interactions with colleagues and guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience (including lived expertise (used plus years of recovery) (Certificates, trainings.
• Experience with vulnerable populations or those with lived expertise is a plus.
• Coaching Skills: Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and guide individuals towards personal transformation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with guests.
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, may include evenings and weekends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor database software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and empathetic, with a strong commitment to serving those in need.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
