Machine Shop Worker - Barre, MA

Everett J. Prescott, Inc.'s (Team EJP) sister company, Quality Water Products, is seeking a well-rounded individual with basic mechanical and shop skills and knowledge to join their machine shop team!

Knowledge of hand and power tools, and basic measuring instruments. Quality Water Products is a Team of professionals devoted entirely to the manufacturing and distribution of the finest line of waterworks, sewer, and drain utility products in the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Duties include saw cutting, grinding, threading pipe.
• Motivated and willing to learn in order to move up to Machine Operator.
• Some painting of pipe when necessary.
• Picking the proper materials, loading them safely into the lathe or threader, and the centering the material for machining (whether flanging or grooving).
• Fabricating items to meet company policies and AWWA standards as outlined by QWP.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and punctual.
• CNC Controls knowledge a plus!
• Physical requirements include frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling is also required.
• Must work well with others, teamwork is essential to role.
• Fork Truck experience preferred.
