E.J. Prescott is looking for a Shop Fabricator to join our Plastic Pipe Fabrication team out of our home office in Gardiner, ME!
The Shop Fabricator will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, accurately measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using various power tools and machinery within a manufacturing shop to create finished products, ensuring quality control throughout the fabrication process while adhering to safety regulations; key duties include reading technical drawings, setting up equipment, performing precise cuts and bends, welding components, and conducting quality checks on fabricated parts.
Skill sets and basic responsibilities:
- Safety awareness of job site hazards and commitment to working safely.
- Carpentry and/or construction experience with basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail, ability to keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and serviceable.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Good team skills with the ability to follow directions of management and crew leaders, in a fast-paced work environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
