Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate vehicles such as vans, box trucks, and other delivery vehicles.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and hand truck.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time while following designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Handle heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assemble and install furniture.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for various types of cargo.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) safely.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Previous experience operating pallet jacks is desirable.
- Previous experience assembling and installing furniture is desirable.
