Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent customer service skills. Candidates with experience in operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, are encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Safely operate vehicles such as vans, box trucks, and other delivery vehicles.
• Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and hand truck.
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time while following designated routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
• Handle heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Assemble and install furniture.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred.
• Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for various types of cargo.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) safely.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Previous experience operating pallet jacks is desirable.
• Previous experience assembling and installing furniture is desirable.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
