K-8 February Title 1 Acceleration Academy Enrichment Teachers
Description:
The Everett Public School February Title I Acceleration Academy provides structured academic
and enrichment activities for students in grades K-8 during the February vacation week.
Students will receive small-group support and instruction on grade-level topics in ELA and Math,
as well as participate in enrichment activities in the areas of music, art, sports, outdoor
exploration, STEM and more. The program will be free and held at the Devens, Parlin, Madeline
English, Keverian, Whittier, Webster, and Lafayette from 8 am-12:30 pm.
Working Times:
Tuesday, February 18th - Friday, February 21st, 8 am - 12:30 pm
Remuneration:
$40/hour for 18 hours of instructional time and 10 hours of prep/outreach time. Attend a two
hour orientation meeting prior to the beginning of the program. Total maximum stipend:
$1,200.00
Essential Duties:
? Design and deliver enrichment programs that engage students in grades K-8 in unique
educational experiences, including project-based learning, physical education, creative
arts, STEM, language, cultural studies, and other specialized topics.
? Develop lesson plans and activities that promote critical thinking, creativity, teamwork,
and independent learning.
? Adapt programs and lessons to accommodate students of varying skill levels, abilities,
and interests.
? Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their academic and personal
growth.
? Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment that encourages
student participation.
? Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and
enrichment program goals.
Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in Education, a related field, or equivalent experience
? Teaching certification or credential, if applicable.
? Proven experience in designing and delivering educational programs or activities
? Strong understanding of child development and instructional strategies.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students,
staff, and parents.
? Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping students explore their interests and
talents.
? Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Requirements:
? Master’s Degree in Education or related field
? Experience with project-based learning, STEM, arts, languages, physical education, or
other specialized subjects.
? Familiarity with educational technology tools to support interactive learning experiences.
? Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
