Job Description :
EHS is seeking 4 passionate Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) Advisors to guide and support
young multilingual learners at Everett High School in conducting research that drives social change. The YPAR Advisors
will mentor youth researchers, facilitate participatory research processes, and help translate findings into actionable
strategies that benefit their communities.
Youth Participatory Action Research" refers to a grant program under the "Promoting Safe and Healthy Learning
Environments : Elevating Student Voice and Well-Being" initiative, where schools can implement projects that directly
involve students in research to address issues related to their school climate and well-being, allowing them to actively
participate in identifying problems, designing solutions, and taking action to improve their learning environment.
Duties :
- Guide youth researchers through the YPAR process, including identifying research topics, designing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and sharing findings.
- Provide training in participatory research methods, data analysis, and advocacy strategies.
- Foster a collaborative and empowering environment where young people feel heard and valued in the research process.
- Support the development and implementation of YPAR projects, ensuring they align with community needs and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with community organizations to strengthen youth-driven research and create meaningful change.
- Ensure all research activities adhere to ethical guidelines, including informed consent and youth protection standards.
- Assist youth in presenting research findings through reports, presentations, and community forums to influence decision-making.

This PROJECT runs from March 2025 to June 2026
Stipend Rate : $40 / hr for up to 100 hours
