Position Overview:
As the Assistant Fulfillment Manager (ASM) a main part of this role is scheduling for the eCommerce (ECOM) team. The ASM is responsible for creating and maintaining monthly schedules for the fulfillment ECOM team of 150 employees, while managing daily schedule adjustments.
This role will ensure smooth operations by balancing employee availability, shift requirements, and organizational needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build a Dream Team:
- Attract warm, fun, driven and detailed-oriented people to work in the warehouse.
- Support Fulfillment Manager in interviewing potential Part-Time Fulfillment Specialist candidates.
- Support and lead all new hire job training on the Ecomm Fulfillment Team.
Daily Leadership of Fulfillment Team:
- The ASM is responsible for overseeing team productivity by regularly checking Veeqo to ensure efficient operations and workflow.
- Assists the Fulfillment Manager and Senior Fulfillment Assistant Manager, to help lead and supervise floor operations, while guiding and supporting team Leads to ensure smooth and effective day-to-day activities.
- Works closely with the Senior Fulfillment Manager and Assistant Fulfillment Manager to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
- Evaluate scheduling gaps and recommend hiring needs based on workload and employee availability
- Assist in the recruiting process, including interviews with potential candidates.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring completion of all required paperwork and scheduling training.
- Help with any shipment or technology issues the Fulfillment Team may have.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment by providing assistance and fostering positive relationships with all team members, regardless of personal preferences.
- Observe and coach behavioral opportunities and share feedback courageously.
- Provide mentorship and ongoing training/coaching of the Fulfillment Team.
- Work collaboratively with the Care Team to resolve issues with online orders.
- Maintain an efficient but fun e-commerce floor.
Monthly Scheduling:
- Develop and distribute monthly schedules for 150 employees, ensuring coverage meets operational requirements.
- Collaborate with the Fulfillment Manager and Senior Fulfillment Assistant Manager to understand staffing needs and align schedules accordingly.
- Take employee availability, preferences, and leave requests into account while maintaining fairness and efficiency.
Daily Schedule Management:
- Monitor daily schedule changes, including call-ins (via email or When I Work chat), absences, and shift swaps.
- Coordinate real-time solutions to fill gaps, such as arranging replacements or adjusting shifts.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to affected employees and relevant teams.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Reviewing the Daily Schedule planner and Projected Hours to ensure accurate scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, changes, and employee attendance.
Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all scheduling-related inquiries.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with employees, managers, and HR.
Scheduling:
- 38-40 hour work week
- One closing shift per week (at least until 7pm) to help train and keep in touch with the night team.
- Leading a minimum of 2 weekend shifts a month
- Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- The Warehouse is open 7:00am-9:00pm Monday-Sunday (availability for evenings/weekends is required)
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, climb a ladder, and reach during shifts

Compensation: $26.25 per hour Quarterly Bonus
