Location: Richardson office 3-4 days per week
Developer Duties
The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages. Job Title: Software Performance Engineer III
Location: Richardson office 3-4 days per week
Developer Duties
- Learn the details of our security products through the setup of multi-system test scenarios
- Design, develop, and automate a performance test framework to evaluate our products
- Assist with the day-to-day management of a small data center
- Work to become a subject matter expert on Networking, UEFI, and automation tools
- Travel up to 25% to customer sites to evaluate and integrate new hardware systems for use with our products
- Must be willing to watch 90’s movies to understand quotes used by management
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees are a plus
- Self-motivated and flexible to changing tasks
- Strong desire to learn new skills and tools as needed
- Must have 3 years of experience with C/C , Python, or Rust
- Must have 3 years of experience developing software for Linux or Unix environments
- Ability to obtain a security clearance in the future, if needed
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6)
- Linux administration experience
- Experience setting up Secure Boot and developing UEFI applications
- Strong understanding of computer security concepts
- Experience doing performance testing of network-based applications
