What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development position at Everfull?
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Be a vital part of the Everfull leadership team by serving in an advisory capacity for the Executive Director, supporting the Board of Directors, area managers, operations and site managers in their efforts to operate more efficiently and increase donations.
· Implement strategies to form strong relationships with donors and keep them informed on how their financial contribution is being utilized.
· Develop an annual fundraising plan, measure progress toward meeting development goals, and measure fundraising progress, and manage revisions
· Maintain brand standards and brand story to effectively communicate, market and provide public relations to increase visibility of Everfull.
· Visit sites around the 13-county area at least two to three days per week (company car provided). Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish deep relationships and effective communications with them. Become our communities go to resource.
· Take advantage of community relations, speaking engagements, fundraising events, and communication tools like newsletters and social media platforms to reach donors and sponsors
· Coordinate and prepare materials for a variety of potential donor presentations; work with staff to create materials
· Manage donor portfolio including data input for Little Green Lantern donor software.
· Manage the research and writing of grants to assure maximum effectiveness.
· Collaborates with South Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging (SCKAAA) and Central Plains Area Agency on Aging (CPAAA) to ensure company adheres to federal, state and local laws and regulations. Specifically, maintain company compliance with the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) field service manual as well as the Older Americans Act, Title III on fundraising and volunteer aspects
· Develop and maintain gift recognition programs, corporate partnerships and manage staff to assure they are completed successfully.
· Maintain up to date information on current trends and practices in the development field and make recommendations to the Executive Director on new development efforts.
· Manage special events including implementation, budget, timeline, duties, and goals.
· Lead and manage site managers and other staff and board members for fundraising activities, focusing on recruitment, retention, performance management, coaching, and development.
· Assists Executive Director, Operations Manager, PSA2 and PSA 10 area managers to plan training for site managers, employees, and a companywide annual meeting.
· Develop and maintain policies and procedures and implement methods for tracking volunteer hours and in-kind donations.
· Work with the Executive Director to evaluate effectiveness of financial/donor policies, including audits, serving as back-up for government reporting (such as Form 990 and Secretary of State Filings)
· Help maintain technology of the organization with specific focus on Google Non-Profit Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Teams and OneDrive. Work to maintain website, social media presence and other technology needs.
· Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

5. Must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s License and an insured vehicle for periodic business use.
6. Position will require some travel using a company car to cover 13 county area in South Central Kansas.
7. Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience in development-focused roles that require measurable output and relationship building.
8. 3 years of fundraising experience with a focus on building a portfolio of donors and closing gifts.
9. Proven ability to coach others in fundraising and relationship management.
10. Experience in conducting face-to-face appointments and managing donor relationships
11. Two to three days per week on the road, visiting sites and building prospects in our 13 county area.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience. Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in development activities. Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Superior managerial and diplomacy skills. Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Non-Profit Suite, Adobe Creative Suite or related software. Familiarity with websites, social media and other fundraising/promotional tools. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business.Master’s degree in fundraising field preferred. Work experience may substitute for educational requirement.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, talk, or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
