We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for all animals in the kennel, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
- Assist with dog training sessions and socialization activities as needed.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or larger animals safely.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during animal handling and care.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care routines, medications, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
- Assist in pet sitting services when required, providing care in clients' homes as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not mandatory; candidates with backgrounds in dog training or veterinary assistance will be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with kennel operations and animal behavior is beneficial.
- Strong skills in heavy lifting and physical stamina to manage the demands of the role effectively.
