Wildlife Biologist (or similar) required for Everglades EcoTour Guide

• Everglades tour guide needed.
• Resume and cover letter REQUIRED.
• Education in environmental education, environmental sciences or biological sciences required.
• This position involves picking up customers in our tour van in the Fort Myers/Naples area and guiding them on a tour through the Everglades. Guide narrates the tour. Tour includes an airboat ride and a skiff boat ride. Applicant does NOT captain either boat.
• Guide leads and narrates a nature drive and walk and MUST have an excellent understanding of the natural and cultural history of South Florida as well as a good understanding of Everglades conservation efforts.
• Applicant must have educational background in natural sciences and have outdoor, education-related experience in South Florida.
• Applicant must have a clean driving record and be 25 or older.
• Applicant must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work at least 3 days a week from 7 am-5:30 pm.
• Desired applicant is personable, organized, punctual, can work independently, has a good sense of humor and is comfortable working in the Everglades environment.
• This is a fun position that requires a unique individual who knows the plants and animals of the Everglades and has the passion to teach others.
• Applicant must have current CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to become certified.
• Compensation for half day tour (5 hours) is $125 per tour plus gratuities ($50 per day average)
• Compensation for full day tour (10 hours) is $230 per tour plus gratuities ($75 per day average)
