What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Supervisor position at Evergood Sausage Co?
This role is a critical member of our Team and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of product quality and safety by ensuring that all production equipment, structural and storage facilities, offices, restrooms, rest areas, and equipment comply with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and the Allergan Program, GMP's (Good Manufacturing Processes), Federal, State, and local food protection standards, and Company programs.
Has direct responsibility for ensuring all work activities under its control are performed with attention to the highest standards of food quality, ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, company policies, HR policies, and production consistency. Partners with management ensuring plant sanitation, quality, and safety are met.

Functional and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to read and speak English and Spanish effectively (desired)
- Must be able to work in a cold environment constantly (approximately 30°F to 40°F)
- Must be able to climb ladders, steps, and stairs occasionally
- Must be able to bend, squat, and occasionally kneel to move up to 40 lbs. from various heights
- Must be able to push and occasionally pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push and occasionally pull carts/racks (on wheels) up to 600 lbs.
- Must be able to reach above the head frequently
- Must be able to maintain repetitive motions/tasks constantly
- Must be able to stand on their feet constantly
- Must be able to push seldomly and pull pallet jacks containing up to 2,000 lbs. of cargo individually or with the help of one other person
- Must be able to frequently grasp, torque, and pinch groups of sausages up to 1 lb. using each hand
Education, Training, & Experience Requirements
- Must be able to perform his/her function after adequate on-the-job training
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
- Working experience in a GMP-enforced environment is preferred

The physical demands described represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the essential duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, noise, and vibration. Appropriate PPE is available to all employees. The employee can rarely sit outside of the daily two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Hours of Work
Weekend and overtime might be required with little prior notice. Must be able to start work as early as 1:30 PM. And work late evenings.
