Experience with golf course maintenance operations, equipment and repair. Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment including diesel and gasoline engines, as well as hydraulic and electrical systems. Must have basic understanding of proper mower sharpening and set-up techniques and maintain highest attention to quality of cut. Ability to weld and fabricate a bonus.
Strong skills to set up a preventive maintenance program, order parts, track and adhere to a monthly budget in addition to proactive communication skills required. Maintain a clean and organized shop. Must keep records of parts and labor used to repair each piece of equipment. Must be willing to respond to emergency calls for repairs, work occasional weekends/overtime shifts during marquee tournaments, aerification and special projects as needed. The ability to bring a positive attitude and be a team player for the overall success of the Club and team will be prioritized. This position will also partner closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to plan ahead and ensure equipment is set up and ready for use when needed. Willing to train set up a training program for the right candidate.
