- Delivering lessons: Teach private and group lessons to players of varying skill levels, adapting instruction based on individual needs and goals.
- Curriculum development: Create and implement structured lesson plans that cover basic strokes, footwork, strategy, and match play.
- Skill assessment: Evaluate players' strengths and weaknesses to tailor lessons accordingly.
- Player motivation: Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to reach their potential.
- Court management: Schedule court time, manage equipment, and maintain court cleanliness.
- Program promotion: Promote available racquet programs and clinics to attract new participants.
- Safety protocols: Enforce safety rules and guidelines on the court.
- Playing ability: Strong playing skills in the relevant racquet sport (tennis, pickleball, etc.)
- Teaching experience: Proven ability to teach players of various skill levels and age groups
- Communication skills: Effective communication to explain technical concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback
- Leadership skills: Ability to manage groups and motivate students
- Certification (optional): Certification from a recognized tennis teaching organization like the USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association)
- Primarily on tennis courts at a tennis club, community center, or private facility
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends depending on demand
