Job Summary:
In charge of employee in-service trainings, auditing and documentation for all Evergreen Assisted Living facilities in Maine. Will care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients in an assisted living community.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Completes in-service trainings for new staff, including but not limited to trainings on: C-Pap machines, insulin, Hoyer lifts, toileting, proper patient care, etc…
· Conducts monthly in-service trainings at each facility and does check-ins with staff to insure they are comfortable preforming their assigned tasks
· Onboarding and new hire training
· Receiving and auditing onboarding checklist from house managers
· Co facilitating new employee orientation with HR and other nursing staff.
· Monitors Relias to ensure staff are completing regularly assigned trainings
· Audits residential charts for accuracy and completeness
· Accurately completes documentation on ADL’s and Care Plans
· Meet with staff to advise on ADL’s
· Will travel to all Evergreen Maine communities, with a base in Bangor, ME
· Collaborative role with human resources, recruitment, retention of new staff through training and evaluation
· Identify and report areas of improvement opportunities
· Work with RN Care Coordinator on division of duties
· Other duties as assigned by Regional VP of Maine
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Experience working as an RN or healthcare professional in an Assisted Living environment,
Preferred
· Knowledgeable in State and Federal regulations
· Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent patient care skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Must have time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
· Proficient with MS Office Suite, PCC or related software
· Experience working in an assisted living facility
· MDS Certified, a plus
