Job Summary: We are seeking a Leasing Specialist to facilitate leasing processes for our properties in the Greater Lafayette area. This role involves engaging with prospective tenants, managing leasing transactions, and fostering strong tenant relationships. The position offers experience in both student and conventional housing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries and schedule property tours.
- Conduct tours and provide information on available units, lease terms, and amenities.
- Manage the leasing process from application intake to lease signing.
- Enter leasing data accurately into AppFolio and other systems.
- Process applications, verify tenant qualifications, and support the leasing cycle.
- Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective tenants.
- Address tenant inquiries and resolve issues as needed.
- Maintain positive tenant relationships to encourage lease renewals.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including online listings, social media updates, and advertising.
- Participate in outreach events and community engagement to generate leasing interest.
- Support internal auditing and reporting for leasing operations.
- Maintain shared office spaces, including light cleaning duties.
- Assist with lease renewals and data entry tasks.
- Provide updates to the Assistant Leasing Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Experience in leasing, property management, or customer service preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.
- Experience with property management software (AppFolio) is a plus.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required.
