Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is located just outside of Albany in East Greenbush, NY and we are looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing. The chosen candidate will be energetic and demonstrate great leadership qualities. At Evergreen Commons we have 2 ADONs that work closely with the DON. This helps with coverage, if necessary and increases overall efficiency within the department. 1 ADON who is already on staff handles all things infection control (including COVID), tracking of hospitalizations, oversees 3 unit managers and in charge of supplemental auditing. The other ADON handles wounds, medication regimes (including pharmacy recs and GDRs), oversees the remaining 3 unit managers and completes other supplemental auditing. You will assist in overseeing the nursing team ensuring quality customer service and compliance with all Federal, State and local rules and regulations, as well as our policies and procedures. The ADON will be in charge of specific dutes within our nursing department.
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a Long Term Care setting.
- The ideal candidate will have completed the 19.3 hours CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course. This is not required however preferred.
- Coordinates and directs the total planning for nursing services to meet the needs of all residents.
REQUIREMENTS :
This is a full time, exempt position. Flexible hours including some weekend work is required. Great pay, Health Insurance, Dental, Time off, 401k, paid orientation.
