Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is looking for personable, qualified, and energetic RN Director of Education & Staff Development
Duties/Responsibilities:
Program instructor/coordinator for facility Nurse Aide Training Program.
Creates lesson plans containing objectives, course content, method of instruction and evaluation for the Nurse Aide Training Program.
Develops, directs, implements and monitors programs of orientation and education for all facility nursing service personnel with the assistance of the employee health nurse.
Sets up demonstrations of nursing service policies and equipment to acquaint facility staff with new equipment and to make them more familiar with established policies and equipment.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts regular and special in-service training sessions for facility nursing staff to acquaint them with new procedures and policies and new trends and developments in resident/patient care techniques; and to provide opportunity for individual members to develop their full potential.
Completes reports and maintains records and documentation (including attendance records) in accordance with Federal and State Regulations and standards for Long Term Care.
Participates in quality assurance tracking of program and nursing service personnel.
Holds general orientation and on-boards new employees
Requirements/Qualifications:
Registered nurse with management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
Minimum of 1 year experience in staff education
Wanted but not required; NYS approved trainer for CNA training (Train The Trainer TTT)
Current state license to practice as a nurse.
Current CPR certification.
