ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain books and records for Evergreen Energy Investments (Evergreen’s solar business) investments and partnerships as well as the firm’s corporate entities
- Full-cycle accounting (A/R, A/P, general ledger reconciliation, month-end & year-end closing)
- Support the solar transaction closing process in coordination with lenders and investors (i.e., funding an investment, closing a loan, receiving a payoff, etc.)
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cash flow management and reconciliation
- Support entity tax filings with external tax accountant and Evergreen Principals
- Support audit(s) of Evergreen Company entities and lines of business as needed
- Track and prepare financial reporting obligations to senior lenders
- Provide financial insights to leadership for strategic decision-making
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
Required
- 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with real estate, construction, solar or energy related sectors
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online)
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, financial modeling)
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills for working with leadership and external partners
Preferred
- Experience in solar industry accounting
- Knowledge of contract accounting (percentage-of-completion)
- Familiarity with SolarEdge
