The position will support the Funding Manager and serve as a point of contact for escalations and rush requests from the field with the ability to prioritize and problem solve. The primary function is to promote loan quality and accuracy through training and developing skills of Closers and Funders in the Home Office, branches and Funding Hub’s.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review funding packages within Service Level Commitment timeframes (24hrs of receipt).
- Communicate and clear outstanding funding conditions with all parties applicable (escrow/title, processors, loan officers and underwriters, etc).
- Calculate wire amount to balance with escrow/title & release and release loan for recording when ready.
- Prepare wire package/collateral to submit when ordering your wire following EHL Closing and Funding Wire Policy.
- Update closing screen fields in the LOS/Encompass system to complete the funding process.
- Follow up/obtain and imaged in the file a Certified Final Settlement Statement on all closed loans within 48hrs of closing.
- Preparing CDs/Docs within the Funding Service Level Commitment timeframes.
- Provide support to the field with status on CDs/Docs/Fundings and/or help with general or specific questions relating to the funding department.
- Assist team/co-workers/other departments if needed.
- Cross train to learn other roles/task that is part of the funding department functions for coverage when short staff due to sick or vacation, etc.
- Able to work additional hours as needed pending volume of work.
- Always be aware and/or communicate with the team/departments and with supervisors/managers with respect to all significant challenges or opportunities.
- All functions shall be conducted in a manner keeping with EHL’s mission, vision and convictions.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Provide a “WOW” experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication and/or in person.
- Seek Feedback: Host regular and timely communication with associates and Manager.
- Be willing to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
- Have strong organization skills, the ability to learn quickly, and accuracy/timeliness in completing tasks.
- Perform all actions in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
- Expected to meet productivity guidelines of the position.
- Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
- Work well with other members of the EHL team and be willing to fill in when needed.
Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:
- High School Graduate/GED or Higher
- 10 years’ experience in mortgage industry
- Experience in training closers and funders
- Creative thinking with little or no directions from management.
- Prioritize & multi-task based on urgency of the tasks/projects.
- Ability to work well & collaborate with team, associates/peers/colleagues, managers, clients and vendors.
- Able to take charge/lead the team in supervisor or manager’s absence
- Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.
- Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.
- Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift, which may include extended periods of sitting and/or standing. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment.
- May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy.
Compensation:
The base hourly range for this position is $19.85 - $29.76 per hour with bonus potential, depending on a number of factors including location and experience.
