Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. You will assist with a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to maintain the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Record and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the dental team and enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Dental Assisting Certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role.
- Familiarity with dental instruments, procedures, and terminology.
- Proficient in using dental software and EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
