$21 to $24 per hour, depending on experience
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Loan Closer/Funder position is involved in and understands all aspects of loan processing for residential and commercial loans. A successful Loan Closer/Funder is organized, thorough, detail-oriented, and consistently demonstrates exceptional communication skills with both internal and external customers in a variety of situations. They should also be an effective problem solver, a dedicated team player, and an efficient time manager.
Essential duties include the following:
- Verify and examine information in order to effectively prepare loan documents for all types of loans.
- Effectively input information into document processing applications, calculate figures, and verify information.
- Effectively utilize audit checklists to ensure regulatory and institution policy compliance.
- Physically deliver documents to/from title company or other locations.
- Coordinate escrow closing with title companies; calculate figures and verify closing documents.
- Calculate and process construction loan draws.
- Process, calculate, and prepare documentation for construction loan modifications, assigned savings accounts, process notice of right to lien letters and final draws.
- Balance out each evening by updating the funding calendar and processing journal entries.
- Prepare and distribute the monthly loan closing report.
- Prepare and distribute the construction loan first due date report.
- Track, verify, and process the monthly tax service bill.
- Process loan documents and related correspondence by updating the digital and hardcopy loan files, computer data and follow-up.
- Notarize documents for internal bank staff.
- Communication with internal bank staff and external informational sources in-person, by phone, by email and in written form as needed.
- Open and process mail, computer input of same; follow up on loan documents and related correspondence.
- Requires compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
Additional responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Performing Administrative Activities – Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Learn and temporarily perform job duties for other positions in the organization as needed.

Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Some financial analysis experience preferred.
- Requires valid Oregon driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
- Moving about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Be able to transport up to 30 lbs.
- Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, scanner, and other standard office equipment.
- The work primarily performed in this position is done within an indoor, climate-controlled environment.
