The D365 Business Application Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing business processes and systems, particularly within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. This role involves translating business requirements into functional solutions, ensuring efficient system operation, and driving continuous improvement. The D365 Business Application Manager is a critical role that bridges the gap between business requirements and IT solutions, ensuring the effective implementation and utilization of D365 to drive business performance.
This position is responsible for managing, supporting, implementing, and enhancing critical business applications across the organization. This individual ensures the effective operation, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment of software solutions that support key business processes and functions. Acting as a liaison between technology and business units, the role requires an ability to effectively communicate and understand business needs, prioritize workloads, and manage software implementations and support resources.

Application Management
- Oversee day-to-day management and support of the organization's business-critical applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, financial systems, HR systems, and inventory management solutions).
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the application support team, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of issues.
- Coordinate regular system updates, maintenance, patches, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure applications meet current and future business requirements.
- Manage projects related to software implementations, integrations, migrations, and upgrades.
- Partner with business units to define application requirements, develop project plans, and deliver solutions on-time and within budget.
- Monitor project milestones, budget adherence, and resource utilization; manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leadership to evaluate current application portfolios and define a strategic roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing systems to recommend optimization, consolidation, or replacement opportunities.
- Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and business application trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with application software vendors and manage related contracts and licenses.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and manage escalations.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between business departments, IT teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure applications and solutions are compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams to implement security best practices and protocols.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation related to business application systems, processes, and training materials.
- Develop and present periodic status reports to senior leadership.

Education
- A bachelor's degree in fields like Business Administration, Information Systems, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 5 years' relevant work experience
- Experience working with various D365 modules, including Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO), Dynamics 365 Business Central, and others, preferred
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading complex software implementation projects.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively with diverse business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong technical aptitude with expertise in application architecture, integration, and support practices.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business language.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively under pressure.
- Hands-on Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other common ERP solutions platforms (e.g. Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, SAP, etc…).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit for periods of time, communicate with other employees by talking and hearing, required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, and operate computer systems.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.
