Job Overview: The Landscape Install Foreman leads and supervises a team responsible for executing landscape installation projects. This role involves overseeing the installation of plants, hardscapes (such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls), irrigation systems, and other landscape features. The Foreman ensures that all work is completed to the highest standards, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Winter Work Consists of Snow Removal; Includes Plowing, shoveling and ice control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and manage a crew of landscapers, ensuring all members are clear on daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to crew members.
- Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and ensure quality workmanship.
- Landscape Installation:
- Oversee the installation of plants, trees, sod, and other vegetation.
- Coordinate the installation of hardscapes (patios, walkways, retaining walls, etc.) and irrigation systems.
- Ensure that materials are correctly sourced, delivered, and used according to project specifications.
- Ensure that proper soil preparation, drainage, and other foundational work is completed.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate daily operations and tasks to ensure projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
- Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues or delays as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and labor for each project.
- Work with the project manager or supervisor to report progress and communicate project needs.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for the crew.
- Ensure that team members follow safety guidelines, proper handling techniques, and wear necessary protective equipment.
- Ensure that all work complies with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Client Interaction:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients on site, addressing questions or concerns.
- Ensure the client's vision and expectations are being met throughout the installation process.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company’s values and image.
- Equipment and Material Management:
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and in good working order.
- Assist with the inventory of materials and supplies for ongoing and future projects.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment use to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Snow Removal and Ice control
- Operates snowplows to clear parking lots and roads of snow accumulation, ensuring safe passage for vehicles.
- Works on HOA, Shopping Centers, Apartment complexes, and residential neighborhoods depending on the assignment.
- Ice Control
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in landscape installation or related field.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of plants, hardscapes, irrigation systems, and landscape construction techniques.
- Familiarity with landscape tools, machinery, and safety equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans and blueprints.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and tools safely.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, and plant materials.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
