Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of kennel staff, ensuring the well-being and care of all animals in our facility, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. This is a full-time position requiring a passion for animal care and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kennel staff, including feeding, cleaning, exercising, and grooming animals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all pets in the facility.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
• Oversee inventory management of pet supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Train new staff members on proper animal handling techniques and facility procedures.
• Interact with pet owners to address any questions or concerns, providing excellent customer service.

Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in animal handling and care, preferably in a veterinary setting.
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Proficiency in pet grooming techniques is advantageous.
• Previous experience in pet sitting or kennel management is preferred.
• An ideal candidate will have prior staff management experience.
