Part-Time Janitor – Barwell Manor (Waukegan, IL)
Location: Barwell Manor, Waukegan, IL
Reports to: Property Manager
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (20 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

What You’ll Do
As a part-time janitor, you’ll help keep Barwell Manor clean, safe, and welcoming to residents and staff. Your work ensures that shared spaces remain well-maintained and that residents feel at home.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Cleaning & Upkeep
Maintain common areas, including floors, carpets, walls, restrooms, kitchens, offices, and stairwells.
Empty trash and remove debris, litter, and pet waste from shared spaces.
Prepare and clean vacant units for new residents.
Seasonal & Exterior Maintenance
Remove snow and salt walkways as needed.
Perform light landscaping, painting, and minor exterior repairs.
Light Maintenance Assistance
Assist with minor repairs such as painting, screen replacements, and door adjustments.
Unclog toilets, replace light bulbs, and monitor secured areas like storage and laundry rooms.
Additional Duties
Maintain mechanical rooms and storage spaces.
Complete work orders as assigned.
What You Bring
One year of janitorial experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
