Responsibilities:
- Sort colored PET, non-PET bottles, cans, and other foreign materials from the incoming raw material stream.
- Maintain housekeeping within the entire sorting area, including heavy sweeping and shoveling debris off the floor.
- Maximize quality and production levels on ground flake.
- Report necessary maintenance repair items and safety concerns to the Supervisor.
- Check and maintain the performance of all conveyors.
Requirements:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and respond well to direction.
- Demonstrate hands-on skills and strong listening abilities.
- Have experience in safety procedures, quality control, good manufacturing practices, and proper maintenance techniques.
- Be able to withstand extreme weather environments (heat, cold, humidity).
- Show strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- Requires normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Corrected hearing and vision within the acceptable range.
- Significant time spent in a production environment.
- Production area may experience extreme temperatures.
- Average standing and walking period of 8-12 hours per day.
- The ability to climb stairs and ladders is necessary.
