With our property portfolio rapidly scaling we are seeking a self-motivated, property accounting professional to add to our growing team. In this highly visible and dynamic position, working closely with the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions required to produce monthly GAAP financial statements for properties managed by Evergreen. The role may also assist with corporate level accounting transactions.'

This is an office-based position based in Dallas, TX with hybrid schedule.
The Role: This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations; monthly financial statement analysis according to GAAP with variance reporting; and compilation of monthly financial statement package with required supporting documentation
- Record monthly adjusting and accrual entries in accordance with GAAP
- Build and manage a property accounting team that scales in response to business volume
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reports for all properties for internal use and distribution to partners and clients
- Distribute financials to lenders/owners and assist with follow up questions/concerns
- Acts as liaison to external auditors by explaining journal entries, financial transactions, and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner
- Assist with the creation and/or improvement of controls and processes
- Assist with the continual implementation of operating systems in collaboration with property management, asset management, and investor reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 6 years of experience
- Understanding of US GAAP, financial processes and internal controls
- Experience in real estate and real-estate property level accounting is strongly preferred
- Analytical thinking, ability to manage large volumes of transactional data
- Team Management experience
- Accuracy and timeliness in the completion of assigned work
- Strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Excel, experience with ERP systems like NetSuite
- Adaptability in a highly dynamic working environment
- Good problem-solving skills - able to think outside the box
