Evergreen Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Staffing Coordinator for the position of Staffing Coordinator to join its team in Kingsford, Michigan. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling staff while ensuring compliance with labor laws, maintaining efficient operations, and supporting high-quality resident service in the Assisted Living and Memory Support units.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Source, recruit, screen, interview, and hire qualified candidates in compliance with federal and state equal employment opportunity laws.
- Onboard, orient, and train new hires, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including work authorization documentation, in compliance with I-9 and E-Verify requirements.
- Staff Scheduling & Management:
- Create, publish, and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage, compliance with labor laws, and efficient operation of the Assisted Living and Memory Support units.
- Monitor and adjust schedules proactively to address staffing shortages or resident needs.
- Track and document work hours accurately, ensuring compliance with timekeeping regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Resident & Staff Support:
- Perform frontline staff and/or department leader duties when necessary to support high-quality resident service.
- Assist with emergency responses for residents, staff, or visitors, ensuring incident documentation complies with applicable laws.
- Be available outside regular office hours to address urgent staffing needs or other time-sensitive concerns.
- Attend meetings to coordinate with adjacent department leaders.
- Engage and collaborate with department leaders on quality assessment of resident service and the improvement thereof.
- Aid in provision of the spiritual, psychological and social needs of residents.
- Promote an effective, positive work environment with peers and frontline staff members alike.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting salary: $45,000 - $50,000 annually with opportunities for advancement.

Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in long-term care facility.
- Thorough knowledge of State and Federal regulations/guidelines governing long-term care facilities.
- Exceptional communication skills with a professional demeanor that engenders trust and competence amongst peers and residents.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize tasks.
