Port Representative – Marine Department
International Shipping/Logistics/Supply-Chain

Qualifications – Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and must have Maritime and/or Terminal Operations experience. Candidates must have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
Position Description – The position is located at Norfolk, VA.
Job responsibilities may include:
- Haz-mat approval in USEC region, DG cargo application forward and reply etc.
- Ship's schedule tracing, monitoring and planning.
- Provide ship’s booking including partner data for NYC port captain for planning.
- Cooperation with NYC port captain and terminal planner for the pre-load stowage plan, final stowage plan checking and approval.
- Cooperation with terminal for the labor gang order and confirmation, vessel move sheet checking and approval.
- Operation issue, CAR and case study.
- Terminal routine and miscellaneous job
- OOG cargo approval/arrangement including coordination with vendors/terminals to provide rates.
- Assists ship’s crew and local boarding agent with any issues raised by the Port Authority/USCG
- Any assistance requested by Marine Dept. regarding vessel matters/schedules/terminal operations/local information needs.
- Coordinating with Logistics for any empty container issues.
- Prepare and send slot chartered vessel’s arrival/Departure time, discharging / loading /ALDS data.
- 24 Hrs. monitor of vessel operations and gang structure, sailing time for any unexpected problems and delay due to bad weather, accident
- Invoice collection, distribution, checking and approval.
- Weekly report and abnormal report.
- Monthly operation detention report.
