Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective tenants. This role requires strong administrative skills, an understanding of real estate regulations, and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and residents.
Duties
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
- Manage the application process, including data entry and verification of applicant information.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for tracking leases, tenant communications, and maintenance requests.
- Assist in resolving tenant conflicts through effective conflict management strategies.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure all leasing documents are accurately completed and filed.
- Stay informed about local rental markets, trends, and pricing strategies to effectively market properties.
Skills
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in customer relationship management techniques to enhance tenant interactions.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance during the leasing process.
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining a positive environment for residents.
