Garden Center Lead Associate

• Provide superior customer service as it relates to the various products, plants, seeds, etc. of the Garden Center
• Serve as the subject-matter expert for the Garden Center; helping maintain health & appearance of the plants, assist with inventory counts, help with ordering, merchandising, stocking and staging, etc.
• Operate point-of-sale for customer transactions
• Seeking individuals with a passion and knowledge for agriculture, gardening, flowers, farming, etc.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Some positions will have the following work environment qualities.

• This position will predominantly be located outside in the garden center, but may also work indoors
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push and pull to help with product movement, as well as operating a pallet jack with be required

For this role, we are looking for talent that can bring to the table the following.

• At least one year of professional work experience within a nursery or garden center OR previous retail/farm store experience
• A valid Driver's License
• Able and willing to work within store hours of operation, including weekend availability; Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am-3pm and Sunday 9am-3pm
• A passion and enthusiasm to work with our cooperative customers to help improve and overcome any challenges related to their needs
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• A knack for relationship building and problem-solving
• Dedication to safety and compliance
